We really do enjoy the studio. Our goal is to keep on accumulating props and working on expanding our studio business. We want to create a place that's comfortable for our guests as well as offer an array of props for them to use for their children/family. This will take some time but I'm confident we will slowly get there. Here are a few pictures from one of our latest sessions with a 6 month old.
Specializing in wedding photography, we also provide senior portraits and family photographs in Southeast Minnesota and throughout the Midwest. Contact us today to schedule a consultation!

Keegan Family - Rochester, MN Family Photographer
We love this family! I think we're making this a yearly event, taking photos of this beautiful family. This is one of the great joys of being a photographer, you get to see these kids grow up and see how they change every year. One of our favorite things to do is go to a family's home and take pictures of them just doing what they normally do. This is also the reason we chose "Lifeshots" for the name of our company.

Paige + Scott's Wedding - Tuscola, IL Wedding Photographer
We always love going to Illinois to do weddings because we can also visit family. Perfect! Paige and Scott were actually married before he went off to serve our country. But now they wanted an opportunity to celebrate it with friends and family at First Christian Church in Tuscola. It was lovely and beautiful. We always love a bride who is so willing to spend time on the pictures. The reception was held at Ironhorse Golf Club which is where our wedding reception was so it was fun to go back.

Photoshop is our best friend!
So in the world of photography yes you could probably get everything perfect and right in the camera but let's face it, that's almost impossible to do and would probably take up a lot of time. In the real world, the pictures we take are not perfect...especially when you have a large family and a not-so-large studio and need to do a little work to make it look like you do in fact have a large studio. Wanted to show an example of the amount of time and work we put into a photo to make it look the way it does. We have years of Photoshop experience and it's a lot of fun but takes time and patience too.

Brice + Jennifer's Wedding - Rochester, MN Wedding Photographer
We filmed this couple's engagement session and had a blast with them!! Luckily some stormy clouds were headed our way because it forced us to reschedule and I think we got some better pictures because of it!! We had been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Not only because we think these two are such great people, but because we have a lot of mutual friends so it made the day really fun. I love how they wanted to keep the "first time seeing each other" completely private. And they took their time too!! I think this shows how special their relationship is and how much respect and love they have for each other. Although I wish we could've captured those first looks, it's more important that they got what they wanted instead. And they did :) Their wedding was at Hope Summit Christian Church in Rochester, a really cute Church of Christ church that I know lots about because the other Church of Christ church in Rochester and this one went to the same camp!! Again, a small world huh? Then the reception took place at Willow Creek Golf Course. I love this atmosphere because the deck overlooking the golf course is very accessible and a nice way to enjoy the fresh air during the reception.

Ashley + Tim - Rochester, MN Wedding Photographer
We were Quarry Hill Nature Center-bound for this photo shoot. I love shooting there because it's so natural with the trees, hiking trails and bridges. Always a great place to take pictures. We loved our time with Ashley and Tim along with their cute (and well-behaved I might add) dog, Avery. My job is usually to call the dog's name to get her attention...haha!! Check out their creative "save the date" picture.
